Zhejiang Huahai Pharma received FDA approval of a generic Alzheimer’s treatment, donepezil. Donepezil, marketed as Aricept by Eisai and Pfizer, treats the symptoms of mild to moderate forms of Alzheimer’s, though it remains unproven if the drug slows the progression of the disease.
