Cuban officials have begun the registration process in China for Heberprot-B, an innovative treatment for chronic diabetic ulcers in the extremities. Developed by Havana’s Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (CIGB), Heberprot-B is said to reduce the need for amputation by 50%.
