Kexing Biopharm’s Phase III Trial of Inhaled RSV Therapy for Children

Shenzhen Kexing Biopharm has started a Phase III clinical trial of an inhaled Interferon aIb therapy for respiratory syncytial virus-associated lower respiratory infections (pneumonia, bronchiolitis) in children. The nebulized product delivers active ingredients to the lesion site, an efficient and rapid means of administration, but nebulized products are not generally approved for use in children. In earlier trials, the therapy showed high levels of the drug in the lesion site, but low plasma concentration and excellent safety, according to Kexing. More details....
