Kelun/Merck Release Positive Early Data on TROP-2 ADC for Gastric Cancer

Sichuan Kelun-Biotech and Merck reported preliminary Phase I/II data showing their partnered TROP2-directed ADC produced a promising disease control rate and potential to extend survival in heavily pretreated patients with gastric or gastroesophageal junction cancer. SKB264 achieved a 22% objective response rate in 41 patients while disease control rate was 80.5%, with a median duration of response of 7.5 months. Known as MSD outside of the US, Merck acquired global rights (ex-China) to SKB264 in a $1.4 billion agreement, one of three ADC partnerships (worth up to $12 billion) the two companies formed in 2022.
