3SBio of Shenyang Buys Italian CMO/CRO

3SBio of Shenyang acquired Sirton Pharmaceuticals SpA, a Northern Italy CMO/CRO, from First Shanghai Limited for an undisclosed sum. First Shanghai is a Hong Kong-based company that has owned Sirton for the past three years. The acquisition, said 3SBio, is part of a company initiative to expand into developed countries. So far, 3SBio has been mainly focused on the China market, though it has in-licensed products from western biopharmas. More details....
