Fosun Named One of China’s Top Ten Innovative Pharmas

Shanghai Fosun Pharma was one of ten pharmas listed as “China’s Most Innovative Pharmaceutical Enterprises.” In announcing the award, Fosun emphasized its internal research, mentioning that its malaria treatment was recently accepted by WHO and that a clinical trial of its transdermal patch for Parkinson’s Disease was approved by the CFDA. Both of these are worthy accomplishments, especially for an award that stresses innovation, but much of Fosun’s growth over the years has been a result of the company’s relentless R&D activity.
