FDA to Outsource More Inspections of Foreign Drug Makers

The FDA plans to increase its use of outsourcing to perform inspections of foreign drug manufacturers. The US Congress is demanding more rigorous oversight of drugs coming into the US, but the FDA does not have the staff to perform the job by itself.
