ChinaBio® LLC has published its annual report on investment activity in China's life science industry, "China Life Science 2012: From Local to Global." China is now in the Year of the Tiger, the symbol of wealth and power. In 2011, China’s life science industry transformed itself from an industry with primarily local, inward-looking domestic companies to one with a global impact. Fueled by the government’s ambitious plans and financial backing, and the companies own desire to become major players on the world stage, China’s life science companies began to look outside their own borders for partners, markets and drug candidates.
