US Journal Says TCM Leukemia Drug is Effective

A prestigious US journal, the Proceedings of the National Academic of Sciences, has published a research article showing that a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) was effective against leukemia. The medicine, called Huangdai Tablets, is a mixture of plants and minerals, containing realgar (an ore containing arsenic), indigo and red sage root. According to the study, the ingredients were not effective when used individually, but they provoked a synergistic effect. They were tested on the molecular level against promyelocythe leukemia, a severe form of the disease. More details...
