The dollar value of China’s pharmaceutical market will hit a new high this year and gain another 12% to 13% in 2008, reaching somewhere between $85 billion and $90 billion. These predictions, which are not particularly new news, are contained in a just-released report from the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Medicines and Health Products (which has, perhaps, the world’s least helpful acronym: CCCMHPIE).
